What happens when a traumatized Brunette decides to become part of a Blondes-Only-Marilyn-Monroe-Obsessed acting community?

Ma's debut as a playwright was a 30-minute satire reflecting on Hollywood stereotypes and expectations thrown at women.

A group of women set in modern-day Los Angeles, the play follows one woman's journey in joining an “acting" community and how she develops her identity amidst all of the influences and pressures surrounding her.

The play, Norma Jeane Was a Brunette, was submitted and accepted in the Playwrights' Showcase Series at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre.
